Do Cooktown's 'Gym' the easy way!  Take a taxi to the top to visit the old Lighthouse and check out how Captain Cook plotted his way out of the reefs in 1770.  Then a drive back to the western face which looks over our town, the upper reaches of the Endeavour River and the western and northern ranges.  Do it the Easy Way!  Pass Cooktown residents using the steep climb as their their personal 'gym'.  Recommended viewing first thing in the morning and/or watching the setting sun reflect over the river in the evening.
